Sift is provided by Makesquare Studio Limited. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the Sift website, macOS app, downloads, licensing, updates, and support. You can contact us at hey@makesquare.co.
Local file processing
Sift is built as a local-first macOS utility. Image, video, and PDF operations run on your Mac, and Sift does not upload the files you process to Sift servers for local app tools.
Information we collect
We may process purchase and license details from Polar, your email address when you contact us or buy a license, license keys, anonymous device identifiers used for activation limits, app version and update request details, and basic technical information needed to operate and protect the service.
How we use information
We use information to provide downloads and updates, validate licenses, enforce activation limits, answer support requests, maintain security, prevent misuse, improve product quality, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share limited information with service providers that help us operate Sift, including payment and license processing, hosting, email, analytics, fraud prevention, accounting, and customer support.
Retention and rights
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including tax, accounting, dispute, security, and license records. You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal information where applicable law gives you those rights.
